The StingIR-384 is a compact thermal monocular designed to be used in the hand or on a helmet or head mount, which is why its base magnification is 1x: a true-to-life view that can be walked with. The 384×288, 12 µm detector sits behind a 16 mm F1.3 lens for a 16.3° field of view, digital zoom to 4x and a stated 730 m detection range at 50 Hz. It has a 1024×768 OLED display and a built-in compass and inclinometer.
Power is flexible: a single CR123A (about 2 hours), a rechargeable RCR123 (3 hours) or an 18650 cell (5 hours), all removable. The magnesium body is IP67 and weighs about 200 g. AGM's EU page does not state NETD, recording or Wi-Fi, so those are left blank.
AGM has discontinued it. It suits anyone who wants a light thermal that can be head-mounted for hands-free walking or boat work, within the limits of a 16 mm lens. It is not a weapon-mounted device.
