The Merger LRF XP35 pairs the Merger's 640×480, 17 µm detector (25 mK sensor, under 18 mK system) with a 35 mm F1.0 lens. That gives a 2x base magnification and a 17.8° field of view — the widest of the Mergers — with magnification to 16x and a stated detection range of 1,350 m. The laser rangefinder reads to 1,000 m.
Each eye has a 1024×768 AMOLED display. It records to 16 GB of internal memory and streams over Wi-Fi. The dual battery (built-in 4,000 mAh plus removable APS 3) is rated at 9 hours. The body is IPX7 and weighs 830 g, the lightest Merger.
It suits woodland, mixed farmland and boats, where a wide view and the ability to follow something moving close by matter more than reach. For open hill and long fields the 50 mm XP50 is the better choice.
