The Telos XP50 is Pulsar's larger handheld, designed so that the sensor and lens modules can be upgraded later. As sold it has a 640×480, 17 µm detector with an 18 mK sensitivity and a 50 mm F1.0 lens, giving 2.5x base magnification, a 12.4° field of view, digital zoom to 10x and a stated 1,800 m detection range.
It has a 1024×768 AMOLED display, records 1024×768 video to 64 GB of internal memory, and streams over Wi-Fi. Power is the removable LPS 7i pack, 6,400 mAh and rated at 8.5 hours. The body is IPX7 and weighs 660 g, so it is a jacket-pocket or neck-strap unit rather than a trouser-pocket one.
It suits deer watchers, estate and security users working open ground who want the detail of a 640 sensor with a large lens and a path to upgrade. A Telos LRF XP50 adds a 1,000 m rangefinder for 60 g more.
