Type: Thermal binoculars Brand: Pulsar
The Merger Duo NXP50 combines two imaging channels in one binocular. The thermal side is a 640×480, 17 µm detector (25 mK sensor, under 18 mK system) behind a 50 mm F1.0 lens, with 3–24x magnification, a 12.4° field of view and a stated 1,800 m detection range. The second channel is a 1920×1200 CMOS digital night vision camera behind a 50 mm F1.4 lens (2–16x, 17.5°), used to identify what the thermal channel has found; the two can be shown separately or blended.
Each eye has a 1280×960 AMOLED display. It records 1280×960 video to 64 GB of internal memory and streams over Wi-Fi. The dual battery system is rated at 7.5 hours. The body is IPX7 and weighs 1.2 kg with batteries. There is no laser rangefinder.
It suits users who need both detection and identification from one unit at a fixed position — security, estate and boat work — and accept the weight.
