Guide TN450

The TN450 is a two-eyed thermal from Guide's TN series. Its 400×300, 17 µm detector (30 mK, 50 Hz) sits behind a 50 mm F1.2 lens for 3.2x base magnification, a 7.8° field of view, digital zoom to 12.8x and a stated 1,400 m detection range. A laser rangefinder reads to 1,000 m, and GPS, a compass, a gyroscope and Bluetooth are built in.

Each eye has a 1024×768 AMOLED display. It records to 16 GB internal storage, has micro-HDMI video output and Wi-Fi to Guide's app. Two removable 18650 cells are rated at 5.5 hours. The body is IP66, operates from -30 to 50 °C and weighs up to 880 g.

Figures here are from Guide's official TN-series brochure; a retailer page gives slightly different numbers (50 mK, 600 m rangefinder, 6 hours). It suits long watches from a fixed position where a rangefinder and position data are useful, such as estate, security or boat work.
