Type: Thermal binoculars Brand: Pulsar
The Merger LRF XP50 is a two-eyed thermal built around a 640×480, 17 µm detector (sensor NETD 25 mK, under 18 mK system) and a 50 mm F1.0 lens. Base magnification is 2.5x with digital zoom to 20x, the field of view is 12.4° and the stated detection range is 1,800 m. A laser rangefinder reads to 1,000 m with ±1 m accuracy.
Each eye has a 1024×768 AMOLED display. It records to 16 GB of internal memory and streams over Wi-Fi. Power is Pulsar's dual system: a built-in 4,000 mAh cell plus a removable APS 3 pack, rated at 8.5 hours together, so the external pack can be swapped without the unit shutting down. The body is IPX7 and weighs 950 g.
Pulsar lists it as discontinued though UK stock remains. It suits long, static watches — high seats, security, boats — where two-eyed comfort and a rangefinder earn their weight.
