Type: Thermal monoculars Brand: Pulsar
The Axion 2 LRF XG35 puts a 640×480, 12 µm detector (sensor NETD 40 mK) behind a 35 mm F1.0 lens and adds a laser rangefinder that reads to 1,000 m with ±1 m accuracy. Base magnification is 2.5x with digital zoom to 20x, the field of view is 12.5° and the stated detection range is 1,750 m.
Its 1024×768 AMOLED display is a clear step up from the 640×400 unit in the XQ35 Pro. It records to 16 GB internal memory and streams over Wi-Fi to Stream Vision 2. The APS 5 removable battery is rated at 7 hours — the 640 sensor and rangefinder draw more than the XQ35. The body is IPX7 and weighs 470 g.
Pulsar lists it as discontinued though UK retailers still carry it. It suits users who need both detail at range and a distance readout: estate work, security reporting, boats. The higher 40 mK sensor NETD is offset in practice by the extra resolution.
