HIKMICRO Heimdal H4D

The Heimdal H4D is a digital night vision monocular, not a thermal device, and despite some retail listings it is a single-eye unit. It uses a 2560×1440 sensor running at 25 frames per second behind a 31 mm F1.2 lens, with a 13.7° field of view and digital zoom in 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x steps; HIKMICRO does not print a base optical magnification. The built-in 850 nm infrared illuminator gives a stated 200 m range in darkness.

The image is shown on a round 1.39-inch 454×454 AMOLED display. It records 2560×1440 MP4 video and stills to 32 GB of internal memory and streams over Wi-Fi to the HIKMICRO Sight app. The replaceable battery is rated at more than 4 hours. The body is IP67, 153 mm long and 375 g.

It suits garden and hide wildlife watching and close-range security where identification matters, at a higher price than most digital units but with HIKMICRO's build and app.
